Terms and Conditions

London Anglers Association

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your membership with the London Anglers Association (“the Association”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By purchasing a membership, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before completing your membership application.

2. Membership

Membership is available to individuals who complete the application process and pay the applicable membership fee. Membership is personal and non-transferable. The Association reserves the right to refuse or revoke membership at its discretion.

Membership runs for the period specified at the time of purchase. It is your responsibility to renew your membership before expiry if you wish to continue enjoying member benefits.

3. Lock Codes and Access

Upon successful payment of membership fees, you will be provided with lock codes that grant access to Association waters and facilities. These codes are confidential and must not be shared with non-members under any circumstances.

Important: As lock codes are provided immediately upon membership purchase, no refunds can be given once a membership has been purchased. By completing your membership payment, you acknowledge and accept this condition.

Sharing lock codes with non-members may result in immediate termination of your membership without refund and may lead to further action being taken.

4. Member Conduct

Members are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible and respectful manner at all times whilst on Association waters and premises. This includes respecting other members, the environment, and local wildlife.

Members must comply with all Association rules, local byelaws, and Environment Agency regulations. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership.

5. Rules and Regulations

Members must adhere to all fishing rules and regulations as set out by the Association, which may be updated from time to time. Current rules are available on our website and at Association waters.

Members must hold a valid Environment Agency rod licence at all times when fishing. The Association accepts no responsibility for members who fish without a valid licence.

6. Liability

Members use Association waters and facilities entirely at their own risk. The Association shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property howsoever caused, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

Members are responsible for ensuring their own safety and the safety of any guests they may be permitted to bring. The Association strongly recommends that members have appropriate personal insurance.

7. Data Protection

The Association collects and processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your personal information will be used solely for the purposes of administering your membership and communicating with you about Association matters.

We will not share your personal data with third parties without your consent, except where required by law. For full details on how we handle your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Termination

The Association reserves the right to terminate or suspend any membership where a member has breached these Terms and Conditions or the Association’s rules. In such cases, no refund of membership fees will be given.

Members may not terminate their membership early for a refund, as set out in Section 3 above regarding lock codes.

9. Changes to Terms

The Association reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes. Continued membership following such notification constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Contact
